Hisaabio Privacy Policy

Hisaabio helps users record personal loan agreements, repayment activity, reminders, optional PDF summaries, and in-app trust indicators (such as the Hisaabio score and member-since date). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Data We Collect

Account information

• Name, email address
• Optional phone and address (if you add them to your profile)
• Account creation and activity timestamps as stored in our systems

Agreement (“loan”) data

• Lender and borrower names and contact identifiers you enter (for example email)
• Amounts, interest settings, due dates, repayment type (installment or bulk), and related notes
• Payment records (amount, date, status such as pending, confirmed, or disputed)
• Reminder and timeline / change-history events generated inside the app

Device and notifications

• Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens so we can deliver push notifications you expect (for example reminders tied to agreements)
• Diagnostic information needed to operate the app

Advertising

• Advertising identifiers and related ad event data through Google AdMob, as required for ads shown in the app

Exports you choose to share

When you use “Share history”, we build a PDF on your device from your existing data. We do not need to store that PDF on our servers for you to use share features.

How We Use Data

• Create and authenticate accounts
• Store, sync, and display agreements and repayment records across your devices
• Send notifications related to reminders and in-app events you or other participants trigger
• Show advertisements
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability

We do not sell your personal information.

How We Share Data

We may process data through trusted service providers:

• Google Firebase — authentication, cloud database, cloud messaging
• Google AdMob — advertising

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies in addition to this policy.

Legal Bases (where applicable)

Depending on your region, we rely on one or more of: performance of a contract (providing the service), legitimate interests (security and product improvement), consent (where required, for example for certain ads or notifications), and legal obligation.

Data Retention

We retain account and agreement data while your account is active so the service can function.

When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize profile data in active app databases where feasible. Some information may be retained for a limited time where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backup cycles, or dispute handling.

Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the service (for example authenticated access rules for cloud data). No method of storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Children

Hisaabio is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Transfers

If you use the app from outside the country where our providers host data, your information may be processed in other countries with different data-protection laws.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict certain processing of your personal data, and to object or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

You can update many profile fields in the app.
